My boys' birthdays!

Both my boys celebrated a birthday in October - one turned two and one turned 30. Can you guess which is which?


Oh yes, Jonah has discovered that he really likes cake. A lot! He had 3 pieces on his birthday and was scrounging around for more after that!

Well, Michael Jackson is my husband and the mini Karate-Kid is my son! We had a big 80's themed birthday party to celebrate Chris' 30th this year.

Summer in Maine

Fun at the lake:

We are here in Maine, USA, visiting friends and family for the summer. It's been great to see everyone, but the weather hasn't always co-operated. Still, when the sun shines, we have been making the most of it!

I finally get to meet my nephew, Elijah! He and Jonah love each other... sometimes!

Con-graduation-s!

It was a lovely sunny (yes, it was sunny in England!) day and a beautiful place to have my graduation ceremony!





Wish everyone could have been there! But it felt good to get up on stage and officially 'graduate'!

It's been too long! But better late then never, here are some family updates!




Jonah got to play in the snow for the first time in February!

He helped build a snowman...

After 10 minutes he had had enough - snow is cold!

And Chris has built Jonah a toybox which he likes to sit in (the kid is obsessed with boxes!)

Which also doubles up as another seating area in our very narrow living room.

Chris and I are very busy, starting up new businesses and trying to complete teacher training, but otherwise we are fine!

Summer update

Once again, I will apologize for not updating sooner. Its been a crazy summer, but here we are at the end of it, with no tans to show for it, but instead we've had cold after cold after tummy bug after flu. Its been fun...

Here's Jonah earlier in the summer:

Yesterday we bought him a new car at a charity shop and he won't be parted from it!

In the meantime, I've started my 10 month training to become a teacher. I've only had one day of classes so far, but am really enjoying it. This time next year, I'll (hopefully) be starting my first teaching job!

Kids are cheap!!!....????

Chris and I have been very lucky, as we haven't had to spend much money on having a baby. Most everything we have for Jonah was either passed down or bought for us.

And we don't need to buy toys really, look how happy he is with everyday household items!

(He's Skype-ing, by the way...!)

Jonah especially loves his box, and so do Mommy and Daddy, because he hasn't figured out how to get out of it... yet!

..... and then we found out how much putting him in nursery will cost!!!
